LIVE LIFE IN EVERY MOMENT…

Once a spiritual mentor told a story which was very relevant to our life, it was all about the life of a boy.
There lived a boy in a village who was very naughty; He was always worried about the future. He was so sad and depressed. One day while he was going to school, he quarreled with his companions and ran away to a nearby forest. He sat under a tree for long time. Suddenly something fell down from the tree. He looked backward, it was a golden stick. He got a parchment from the stick. He picked it up, and started to read, it was written that – he could use the stick to enter various stages of life by rubbing it. Out of curiosity he rubbed it and waited for the change.

He noticed the change on his face. He was in his 20s, but he was not satisfied as he curious about his body, family and his status in the society. He could not get peace. He rubbed it again.

Suddenly he became a middle aged man with pale dark face. He got a wife and two kids, yet he was not satisfied. He was again worried about many things, about his job, his social responsibilities in family and so on. He could not get happiness and peace. As he began to rub the stick again and again it became smaller and smaller. But he did not care about it. He rubbed it again.
He became an old man, his skin began to shrink and hair became gray. His wife died and he became lonely. His children did not want him anymore. There he started worrying about his end. He could not get peace.

He searched for the stick, but he could not find it. He cried a lot. After some time he saw someone standing just in front of him, it was a monk. He smiled at him and asked,

-“hey old man …what are you doing here..?”

He cried with loud voice, He begged to regain his lost adulthood. The monk patted on his shoulder and said…
-“Are you at peace now..?”

He replied – no.

Again the monk asked,
-“Oh if you regain your adulthood would you be happy..?”

He nodded with joy – “yes, I would be very happy”.

Then the monk blessed him, he became a boy as he was before. He woke up from his dream, and said to himself.
“Here after I will not worry about future. I will try to live each and every moment joyfully.”

This story made me to contemplate so much about my life. Often we worry about future; we forget to live our life. Each and every moment live your life happily. Stop worrying about future. Always remember this – “Never think hard about the past, it brings tears, don’t think more about the future, It brings fear…Live this moment with a smile, It brings cheers.”
Let us live our life happily and more joyfully.
